Jason Blaine
JASON BLAINE will be performing at Dallas Nightclub on Wednesday September 29, 2010 and at Cowboys Ranch on Thursday September 30, 2010
“I didn’t want to completely recreate my last record,” says Jason, 29, a native of Pembroke, Ontario, who now calls Nashville home. “I wanted half the record to be what fans might expect, what I like, what works live and fun, such as ‘Hillbilly Girl,’ but I wanted to have more dimensions to my music and that’s where ‘Heroes’ comes from.”
“Hillbilly Girl” is a boisterous rockin’ hootenanny on which Jason sings, “she’s a fire-cracker / ain’t no doubt / no way I can live without / my hot little hillbilly girl,” but the ballad “Heroes” is more poignant and emotional, inspired by the many friends Jason knows in the military willing to ”give your life up for a stranger / lay down so they can live.”

Coheed and Cambria
Coheed and Cambria's albums are concept albums that reveal a science fiction storyline called The Amory Wars, a series of story mediums written by lead singer Claudio Sanchez. The band has released five studio albums, two live albums, and several special-edition releases. In 2008, the band held a four-day concert series, Neverender, during which they played their first four studio albums in succession. Their fifth studio album, Year of the Black Rainbow, which is a prequel to the series, was released on April 13, 2010The band's fourth studio album, and second release with Columbia Records, Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow, was released in October 2007, debuting at number 6 on the Billboard charts. The album's first single, "The Running Free", was released to radio in August 2007. The second single was "Feathers" with a video starring Rena Riffel. The band has continued touring, headlining portions of the 2007 Warped Tour a tour supported by Clutch and The Fall of Troy, and opened for Linkin Park's 25-city U.S. tour, which forced the cancellation of Coheed and Cambria's performances on Australia's Soundwave Festival. In addition to the return of Todd on bass and new drummer Pennie, the band also recruited a touring keyboardist and backup vocalists for its live performances.
Against Me!
Against Me! with The Flatliners and Young Livers will be performing live at Elements Nightclub and Cowboys Ranch.
For Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel, sometimes you have to get the hell, out just to find your way back in. The past 12 years have seen Gabel rise from acoustic folk-punk gunslinger in the dives of Gainesville, Florida to releasing Against Me!’s four searing, blood-smeared slices of scrappy punk. The last of which, 2007’s New Wave, was the major label debut, one that Spin magazine anointed as their Album Of The Year. And while Gainesville was home, Gabel felt the walls closing in when touring for New Wave came to an end. So he split. With his wife, he left behind the “didja-hear-about-so-and-so” insular Gainesville world for the sleepy beach town of St. Augustine, wandering the streets and driving dusty back roads: searching, pining, hoping for inspiration.
He found it in spades. The result is White Crosses, as powerful and as bold a rock record as one can imagine. The band – Gabel, guitarist James Bowman, bassist Andrew Seward and new drummer George Rebelo – roar like fighter jets screaming over a stadium on the anthemic title-track (with its shout along line about smashing the 4,000 crosses on a local church’s lawn, ones that signify the number of babies aborted each day in the U.S.). Joining that is the escapist fury of “Spanish Moss,” and the short stick of dynamite, “Rapid Decompression.” New Wave eschewed some of the roughness of the band’s earlier efforts, but White Crosses goes even further in filling out the band’s wallop. With its twinkling piano and a glorious whoa-oa chorus, “Because Of The Shame” could be an outtake from Bruce Springsteen’s classic Born To Run.
